2021, Nicaragua.
One tab open on the computer – a flight back to Israel. Just before I clicked "Book" after half a year in Central America, a local street artist (Eddy) sitting in the corner offered a deal: "I'll teach you the technique to create a bracelet, but only if you create one piece now and sell it to a stranger."
The flight has been canceled.
I sat on the pavement and made my first bracelet. Deep blue, simple and precise. I approached a woman passing by, offered it to her, she took out her wallet – and at that moment my status changed from wanderer to creator. This was my first promise to myself - 'I Do'.
From the ocean to the Diamond Exchange.
This bracelet took me from collecting natural raw materials on the shores of surfing towns to high-end jewelry finishing in a professional studio at the Diamond Exchange.
The vacation remains the same.
